M/s S.G. Projects. Ltd is a leading coal trading company in Eastern India for Non-core sector and its promoter has experience of 20 years of coal trading.

Earlier the coal supply was fixed to the linkage of coal to the customer and no new linkage was being allotted to any customer due to low production of Coal India Ltd and this resulted in short supply of coal to non-core sector. This policy of CIL had limitations for any coal trading company in its growth as only limited supply to limited units was guaranteed; thereby the growth was restricted.

Later on the CIL introduced a revolutionary scheme to sell coal in open market via e-auction in 2004. This proved out to be the major turning point for M/s S. G. Projects. Ltd as it benefitted the genuine coal traders and coal users. After the introduction of E-auction to sell coal by CIL, the group with its expertise and infrastructure experienced major growth in its business and went on to became a major coal supplier to small scale industries such as red bricks manufacturer, soft coke Ind, and hard coke industries based in eastern India.

S. G. Projects. Ltd for its achievement in coal sector has been awarded with “Coal Indian Domestic Trader of the year 2013” by IHS McCloskey & mjunction.

The company has established one of eastern india largest coal storage and distributiob network having its coal stock yard in Mughalsaria, Kanpur, Ayodhya, Balia, Kasi, etc in Uttar Pradesh, Danapur in Bihar, and Dhanbad and Kumardhubi in Jharkhand.
